Study Abroad Programs offering exposure to Catalan language and culture:
All of these programs can be found on the website (studyabroad.colorado.edu). Some have no previous Spanish experience required, some have as high as SPAN 3000 required. Each has its own GPA and class standing requirements, which can be found on the website.
Three programs in Barcelona offer Catalan language coursework.
All three programs offer a homestay as their only housing option, which gives students an inside look at Catalan culture. Most of the nine Barcelona programs incorporate some kind of cultural activity into the semester that exposes students to Catalan and the culture around it through cooking classes, not-for-credit language classes, or excursions.

- CIEE Spain: Barcelona Advanced Liberal Arts -for advanced speakers
- CIEE Spain: Barcelona Business & Culture -for beginning spanish students, but they need to have had 3 semesters of business or economics coursework
- CIEE Spain: Barcelona Liberal Arts -for intermediate speakers (SPAN 2120/2150 required before going)
